Writer's Block: Opposites Attract

What celebrity would you consider changing your sexual identity for?

No one. I'm too happy being a girl and having fantasies about the likes of Jensen Ackles and Robert Downey Jr.:)

Fanfiction table...Tony/Pepper

I think I'll do this: Pepperony 100 Challenge. Fanfiction about Tony/Pepper from Iron Man. Mine will be from the movie, I haven't read the comics since I was a teen.

I can't sleep...

I couldn't sleep so I decided to go ahead and get up and do something halfway useful. I've clothes spinning in both the washer and dryer and have all the dinner dishes cleaned up so at least they won't be staring me in the face in the morning. I went over a few notes I had for work. I'm on a roll, too bad I'll be all baggy eyed in the morning. I still have this sinus thing going and my head seems to throb constantly which has made work miserable all this past week.

My kids had baseball practice tonight but it was all cancelled because of sporadic drizzling of rain. THere's not many practice days left until the games start. And I'm just a part of the audience this year which will be a nice change and especially since some of the rules have changed, I had a difficult enough time remembering the original ones.

I haven't written anything in forever, since early last year I think. I just don't have the knack for it right now. I'll get back to it one day though...

And I missed Supernatural tonight while we were still waiting at the ballfield. It was a rerun though, the one about Bobby being in a coma and dreaming about his wife. I wouldn't have minded seeing it again though. I think the new episodes begin on the 24th.

Trying to read but sickly...

I picked up a copy of Bag of Bones at the used bookstore this evening. Somehow I've missed reading that particular Stephen King book, the only one I think I've missed except for one of the collections of stories. I've read on it off and on since I've been home, it's very good but I'm also very tired and coming down with a cold, so I think I won't be reading much more.

I read some of my flist, found some good stories, one a Luke/Kyp story and another Anakin/Obi-Wan, that are hot enough to curl your toes. And yes, both stories are slash and consider yourself warned about that...don't read if you don't like that sort of thing.

I really think I should take my medicine and go to sleep now...

HELP! I haven’t even started shopping for Christmas and everyone’s bragging about how they’re almost finished. I have no clue what to get my mother. I’ve three gifts to buy for church and at least 3, maybe more, for work. I’ve about eight to buy and mail, and then all the family here. It’s depressing. I don’t spend a lot of money on gifts but I do like them to be something I know is wanted or needed by the recipient and this year I’m just clueless about everybody.

I’ve just spent too much for a new microwave but the old one was smoking, I think I got lung poisoning or something already from it. But the new one’s all beautiful and shiny and I don’t want to even set my stuff on it that I had on my old one. Now if I could come up with a new stove I’d be all set. Not that I cook as much as I once did, the joy has temporarily gone out of it.

And I don’t have the new LotF book and it’s killing me. And I can’t find the new Supernatural books though I was shocked the local grocery store had the magazine ($36 for a subscription…eeep!). Not that I’ve time to read them but…I JUST WANT THEM.

I’m thinking of playing hooky from work tomorrow. Bad girl…*slaps hand* But I need a little peace and quiet and I want to get my Christmas decorations out in the yard and I need to do things around the house and a need to make lists of everything I need to do…and…and…

Inferno woes...I'm stuck at work!

Here it is, August 28th finally, and I'm stuck at work with no hope to get away until very late the evening. The other lady I work with is ill and I have it all to myself. If it were any other day I wouldn't mind at all but I'd really like my copy of Inferno NOW.

Transformers, Supernatural, and Harry Potter...

I went to see the new Transformers movie today and was very pleasantly surprised by it. I was still thinking of the stuff my brother watched when we were kids but this was many steps above. The casting was excellent as was most of the special effects. And I was glad they started out with a lot about the human characters, that way by the time things got rough you really cared about them. Poor Sam...check out the parents and dog.

Then tonight we watched the Supernatural rerun...my brain zoned every time I looked at Dean...really enjoyed this one though I'd seen it the first time around. Don't you just love the end...the looks, the comments, the music?

Then we watched a Harry Potter program, on A&E I think, that speculated on the upcoming story. Very interesting though it didn't really clear up anything for me or even change my ideas about any of it. I'm still rooting for Draco and Snape to have a nice part in the last book. Jason Isaacs...the man is beautiful in such an unusual way.

The world gets a little more insane...

It's amazing what a couple of fanatics can do isn't it? They can turn something like LiveJournal upside down and make it dance like a puppet. It really is true that nowhere is safe anymore. It's like when you go to one of those sites, but not with my dinosaur computer, where you can zoom in on the area you live, then closer and closer until you can see not only the roof of your house but your lawn furniture too. Well, right now I feel like that lawn furniture and it's not pleasant.

I have never hurt anyone in my life deliberately and until I do it is no one's business what I read, write, or like to look at.

On to other little life details before my blood pressure shoots up any higher.

I've seen a couple of the Star Wars shows the past week and while they contained no new information, visually they were very beautiful and I had little Star Wars plot bunnies scampering all through my head. Let's see...I saw Harrison Ford's bio...he just gets more appealing with age...but I missed Mark Hamill's and George Lucas'.

I bough Star Wars stamps!!! But I can't bring myself to remove them from the sheet, they're so pretty. I'll have to buy more if I want to actually use them on a letter.

Sacrifice!!!!! Yes, it's mine now. By the way, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation as to why some LOTF books are paperback and some hardcover?? Poor Jacen, he is really off the map now. And still so damn sure about everything. And nothing bothers him! Even knowing how everyone will feel towards him...he just looks at it all so matter-of-factly.

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean. Wonderful movie but doesn't quite have the feeling of the other two, does it? There were a couple of senseless acts in the film that did absolutely nothing for the plot so I'm not sure why they had to happen. Still though, well worth the money spent to see it. Has anyone seen the latest Rolling Stone magazine with Johnny Depp and Keith Richards?

Sick child...

Well, my kid was sick all last night, throwing up mostly. I think we got about 2 hours of sleep. I guess she has that wonderful virus that's been going around the school. She seems to have a bad case of it. Couldn't even keep any liquid down until almost the afternoon. I was starting to worry that she'd dehydrate. I called the doctor and he said...well, actually the nurse said...to just keep her sipping a little liquid, not too much at a time. Don' try to force her to eat yet.

I've got my fingers crossed that I want get it. I can't afford to miss that much work and besides, hugging the toilet is not on my list of good things to do.

Virginia Tech horror...

I can't believe all this I'm seeing on the news about Virginia Tech. You expect a university to be a safe place. What would cause someone to do that? They're talking about it being something domestic but that surely couldn't include over 30 people. He must have been insane. Think of all the poor families, my heart goes out to them. And all the other people on the campus. A real nightmare, something out of a horror story.

Where's my show?

My friend just called me and asked did I know Supernatural didn't come on tonight. See, she's a good friend and thinks of me unlike my family members. But NO, I didn't know it wasn't on tonight. Not even a rerun. That sucks. Who decides these stupid things? No wonder the show can't hold viewers...they can't FIND it. I suppose good old CSI and Gray's Anatomy are still chugging along. Even people who don't watch them, know when they come on.

What am I suppose to watch now? I'm messed up for the rest of the week.

Still writing...

I still am not ready to post another part of A Dark Lord's Heart. I just CAN'T GET IT TO SOUND RIGHT. I read what I had written and it just doesn't have the same feel as the first part. That really bugs me.

I have a couple of more ideas for stories, one short and the other longer and several parts. I just hate to start on them while I still have this other to finish.

Have a wonderful Easter!!!

Happy Easter everyone! Hope your day is nice.

We'll go to church as usually this morning and then over to meet with relatives for dinner. We'll have eggs for the chldren to hunt and lots of sugary snacks. I'll have to tie mine down when I get home, they'll be bouncing off the walls.

Star Wars TV show...Jar Jar...Venus

Is Jar Jar Binks really going to be in the Star Wars TV show? I wouldn't think so. I was not a Jar Jar hater like some people. My brother still despises him to this day. Besides, I had heard it would only be original characters with only spoken references to others.

Actually, I tried to write fan fic once that included Jar Jar in a fairly major part but I gave up when I couldn't get his speech correct. Yoda I can do if I have to...but not Jar Jar.

God, I'm so tired. I've been up since 5 AM and running around like crazy but had to look for stuff about Venus for my child...a future project or paper in his science class. It was harder than I thought to find good printable articles that weren't over his head. And the printer is so sloooooow.

I'm hungry. I know I do not need to eat food right before bed, it doesn't get burned off as fast while I'm snoozing and just is not a good idea. But I'm hungry...

Star Wars...

Have you seen the cool Star Wars posters and advertisement that the postal service is doing? SHIP AT LIGHTSPEED! Proof that Star Wars will never die.

To those who had asked me about another chapter of "A Dark Lord's Heart"...I'm trying, really, to get another chapter ready to post. It's just been so CRAZY here the past couple of months. But I haven't forgotten.

I'm going to murder my car.

Okay, someone let me borrow a gun because I am going to shoot my car. AGAIN it has left me stranded. I've already had it looked at a couple of weeks ago and it was pronounced cured BUT IT IS STILL NOT STARTING SOMETIMES.

Hannibal Rising...

The new Hannibal Rising movie is playing in the next town. I'd really like to see it but have no one to watch the kids for me and I think it would be a bit much for them. I've taken them to scary stuff before but with the cannibalism that's probably in this one...no.

The boy who plays Hannibal is nice-looking. Pretty eyes. I can't think of his name though I know I've heard it more than once. Isn't it strange, must be charisma, that makes Hannibal such a draw for people. I'm sure there are other, darker reasons but I try not to think about that.
